The Who Confirm Glastonbury (Sort Of)...

Anche se manca ancora l'uffficilità pare che Billy Corgan e Pete Townsend potrebbero incontrarsi nuovamente su un palco. L'occasione sarebbe quella del Glastonbury Festival al quale parteciperebbero tra gli altri, oltre a Smashing Pumpkins e Who, anche The Killers, Razorlight, Kasabian, The View, Bjork e Bruce Springsteen.

Nel messaggio di auguri per il nuovo anno Billy Corgan ha indicato il prossimo maggio come il "mese della verità" per quel che concerne il futuro più immediato degli Smashing Pumpkins. Ecco i passaggi salienti del post, per la verità a mio modesto parere, un po' malinconico:
"May 2007 prove to be a blessed year in every respect and every way [...] This year for us will see a new album of songs and a world tour of tears, and we truly look forward to playing again for fans young, old, and missed [...] for many years there were private laments about opportunities missed and hearts so broken, but no more...we have turned the page and moved on, from places and faces, names and games.
